one-day whole food cleanse

Ready to press the “reset” button and get back on track (or start) with your healthy eating efforts?  Here’s a one-day, simple, clean-eating plan to get you started.  Cut the sugar and refined carbs, pump up the veggies and you’ll be feeling lighter and energized by the next morning!

 

Pre-Breakfast:

cup of hot water with a big squeeze of fresh lemon

 

Breakfast:

1 egg scrambled in 1/2 tsp olive oil with 1/2 cup chopped spinach, 1 tbsp chopped onion and 1/4 c. chopped tomato

1 c. chopped mixed fruit or berries

 

Snack:

1/2 banana and 1 tsp natural almond or peanut butter

 

Lunch:

2 c. mixed salad greens mixed with 1 c. chopped veggies of choice and 1/2 c. chopped cooked chicken breast or cooked, rinsed chickpeas, topped with 1 tsp of flax or olive oil and 1 tbsp apple cider or balsamic vinegar

 

Snack: 

1/4 c. Easy Hummus (click for recipe) and 1 c. raw veggies for dipping

 

Dinner:

1.5 c. Simple Chili (click for recipe) served over 1/2 c. brown rice

 

Try to drink at least 10 glasses of pure water and/or herbal tea during the day to give your body a proper flushing and go to bed early. Wake up, rinse, and repeat!
