About Katie Gillingham



Hi, I’m Katie, a C.N.N.P., C.H.N (Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant), and mom of one active (but lovely!) little boy and one adorable (yet demanding!) baby girl. I’m so excited to have “escaped” my first career in the corporate world to join Wendy’s team and follow my real passion for helping people make permanent, healthy changes in realistic & enjoyable way!

I work in-person with clients in New Brunswick but also do online consultations with clients and families across the virtual world. In my experience, most people “know” what to eat but get overwhelmed quickly with the practical nuts and bolts of how to “get it done.” Combined that with all the confusing “eat this and not that” information out there, it can quickly drive a person crazy! I can help you to sort through it all, while teaching you and your family how to take back the control and really enjoy healthy eating.

The truth is only you know what’s best for you (& your family) and what changes are actually do-able. One size does not fit all. That’s why I never use a cookie-cutter approach — I look at the big picture, what’s going on with you and your family, and what you really want to achieve (which, if you’re like most busy people, is not perfection!). Along with your food habits, we’ll also discuss your stress levels, lifestyle, your personal goals and even your sleep patterns, and use the Simple Balance approach to create manageable, achievable goals so you can succeed.

I use my own experiences to support my clients through change. If we’re being honest, my personal life hasn’t always been so balanced. I always thought I could have it all. But years of chasing the dollar, focusing on my career, and more recently growing my family, meant that unhealthy stress levels and habits caught up with me. I knew, as a mom, it was my responsibility to put my health and my family’s health first. I took a hard look at our lifestyle and made the difficult but necessary changes for my family. I tackled this mammoth task by making one simple change at a time and prioritizing what’s important – health and happiness.

I’d love to share my love of delicious food (yes, this includes chocolate!), my knowledge of nutrition, and my real life experience with this crazy busy life we’re all leading and work with you to put some balance back into your life.
