RAISING HEALTHY EATERS (SOLD OUT), March 27th, 7:30-8:45 at Oxford Learning, Quinpool Road

Back by popular demand, this workshop will provide parents with all the tools they need to:

1. make great choices for family food;

2. get their kids (and picky spouses) to actually eat & enjoy it; and

3.educate and instill healthy habits in their children.

Are you a busy parent wishing your kids would eat something other than chicken nuggets and mac and cheese?  Got super-picky eaters?  Unsure of what foods to choose and/or how to successfully incorporate them into your family’s diet?

Healthy food habits are some of the most important tools we can provide our children, but transitioning your family to a more whole foods, less processed diet can be daunting and challenging. Join me, Wendy McCallum, RHN, Nutritional Consultant, and mother of two, for a practical workshop providing workable, manageable strategies for getting your whole family on a healthier track.  I will offer simple, motivating tips and even a couple of “kid-tested” recipes to help you get started on introducing healthier foods into your children’s diet.

Cost is $25 per person, pre-registration is required.  For more info or to pre-register, click here: http://raisinghealthyeaters2.eventbrite.com/

Please check back for new upcoming workshops, as I add them to my schedule regularly.  If you would like to be added to my direct invite list for upcoming workshops, just let me know by email at wendy@simple-balance.ca.

GIRLS’ NIGHT IN:

Do you have a book club, running group or mom club that would enjoy a private presentation and Q & A on whole food nutrition and cooking?

The in-home presentations are fun and relaxed, and offer a great opportunity for your group to choose the speaking topic.  The host organizes the event in terms of inviting the group, and providing refreshments.  I then come into your home for an hour or so, and do a 30-45 minute presentation, leaving another half hour for questions.
I also do entertaining in-home cooking (and tasting demonstrations), which make for a really fun “Girls Night In”.  I cook a variety of quick, healthy dishes, and discusses the nutritional properties of the foods, etc. while cooking. Everybody gets to try each dish and receives a copy of the recipes.  The feedback on the cooking demos is always terrific: Attendees find it really helpful to see the ingredients and get preparation tips for foods many of them have never cooked with before! Everyone is always amazed at how tasty natural food can be!

If you have a group of friends who would like to hear a particular presentation – just contact me to discuss setting one up either in, or outside of your home.
